Features

Everything a test needs, nothing that would pass it off as an audience.

AutomatedTraffic tests the availability, performance and instrumentation of sites you own. Each capability below is in the product today.

Test types

Test types

Two instruments, each priced per unit and described by what it actually does.

HTTP endpoint tests
A bounded number of HTTP requests at a fixed rate against a URL on your verified host. Status codes, error codes and latency percentiles. One credit per request.
Browser validation
Automated Playwright sessions on desktop, tablet and mobile Chromium profiles, visiting one to five pages each. Load time, console errors and analytics tags. Ten credits per session.
Analytics tag checks
List the events you expect, such as page_view. The report names those observed and those missing. Hits are intercepted by default, so your property is untouched.
GA4 measurement checks
Give the GA4 measurement ID your pages should load. The report lists every ID observed and whether yours matched. With Google connected, a realtime check reads what the property received.

Safety controls

Safety controls

Restrictions that cannot be switched off by a customer, a token or a plan.

Verified domains only
DNS TXT or /.well-known file verification before any campaign may target a hostname. Subdomain coverage is opt-in.
SSRF and denylist protection
Targets are resolved and checked before every connection. Private, loopback, link-local and metadata ranges are refused, and an operator denylist covers sensitive third-party hosts.
Hard limits
Maximum units, rate per second, duration and concurrent campaigns are capped by plan and enforced by the API.
Identified traffic
Requests carry an identifying user-agent and browsers announce themselves as automated. There is no CAPTCHA solving and no evasion of bot management.

Operations

Operations

The parts that make a testing tool usable by a team, week after week.

Pause, resume, cancel
Stop a campaign at once. Unused reserved credits are released to your balance.
Reports and exports
Status and error distributions, latency percentiles, a timeline and a full event log, exportable as CSV, with the report as JSON.
Webhooks
Signed POSTs when a campaign starts, completes, fails or is cancelled, when a payment succeeds and when credits run low. Retries with backoff; failing endpoints disable themselves.
Scoped API tokens
Bearer tokens scoped to read, campaigns:write or domains:write, each with an expiry of up to a year.
A credit ledger you can read
Every purchase, grant, reservation, consumption and release is an append-only entry.
Organizations, roles and invitations
Owner, admin, member and billing roles. Invite colleagues by email; belong to several organizations and switch between them.
Audit log and data export
Owners and admins can see who verified domains, launched campaigns or created tokens. Anyone can download their own data as JSON.

Reports keep three figures apart: test activity, analytics events observed, and verified human visits.

The third is always zero. The product does not provide human visits, and its reports never imply otherwise.
